Kadongo Kamu singer and politician Mathias Walukagga has dismissed allegations of a secret affair with fellow musician Bettinah Namukasa.
Recently, Walukagga confirmed that he was in a serious relationship and planning on making it official very soon. He confessed that he has been committed to his partner for the last seven years, and although he refused to reveal his woman’s identity, unconfirmed reports have for a long time speculated that it was singer Bettinah Namukasa.
In a follow-up interview with Spark TV, Walukagga denied being in a secret relationship with Bettinah, noting that he would only show off his bride-to-be on the day of the wedding.
“It is not true that Bettinah Namukasa is my wife-to-be. I do not think about her in that way, even though she is my friend as an artist. But we do not even greet ourselves. I do not know where the media gets such news,” he said.
During Geoffrey Lutaaya’s concert, Walukagga revealed that he would soon become the Da New Eagles Production boss’s son-in-law. This made people believe that he was talking about his intended marriage plans with Namukasa, who Geoffrey calls his daughter.
The Kyengera Town Council Mayor denied the allegations before requesting journalists to turn off the cameras.

“Bettinah is a very good artist, and Geoffrey raised her right. These allegations might break her current relationship with her lover,” Walukagga refuted the rumors.
