On June 05th, health minister Ruth Aceng reported an increase in the number of daily coronavirus infections compared to the past few months.
Singer Maurice Kirya is among the new cases that were registered on Sunday evening according to his revelation through a tweet.
In order to reduce the risk of transmitting the deadly disease to his fans, Maurice Kirya called off his performance slated for Monday 13th June.
Kirya was expected to perform at Levels lounge’s show dubbed “Stress Clinic” which is held every first day of the week.

However, the “King of Mwoyo” star’s plans were sabotaged by the unforeseen circumstance of his infection, which saw him apologize to his fans and the event management for the inconvenience caused.
To my fans and friends, I will not be able to perform at Levels tomorrow (Monday 13th) as today I tested positive for COVID-19. I would like to extend my profound apologies to you all and the management of Levels for the inconvenience that this might have caused.

The singer vowed to make it up to his supporters on a rescheduled date, after fully regaining his immunity and safe for everyone.
