Musician Mikie Wine, whose real name is Michael Mukwaya, has opened up about co-parenting with his ex-wife Shazney Khan.
The ex-couple has two kids, and upon their separation, the children were left in their mother’s custody. Their new marriage chapters sparked criticism about how they handled the shared responsibilities of their children.
However, during an interview, Mikie Wine revealed there is no problem with that. He says he gets to see them anytime he wants, and he is still in their lives as their father.
“I’m a typical Muganda man, and I’ll forever be their father. Others follow after that because I don’t discuss my family matters before the public. But in all this, I’m still the man,” Mikie Wine told Sanyuka TV.
Shazney Khan found love again after her split with Mikie and tied the knot with her new partner late last year.

Shortly after the ceremony, Shazney Khan announced that she was expecting her third child and her first with her newfound love. She subsequently gave birth and is now enjoying her marriage with her growing family.
