Mikie Wine, Gravity Omutujju

Mikie Wine responds to claims of insincerity in his condolences to Gravity Omutujju

Mikie Wine has addressed recent allegations from critics who questioned the authenticity of his condolences towards rapper Gravity Omutujju’s family, following his mother’s death Mrs. Kajoine Jane. Despite their public scuffle, the Sulubada High School singer traveled to Fort Portal in Nyantabooma village, for the burial.

The tension between the two musicians in the past few months intensified from their colliding concerts. Gravity publicly insulted Mikie Wine in most press conferences, claiming he lacked talent and that his show would flop. Mikie Wine, on the other hand, held back.

Upon Gravity’s mother’s death, Miki Wine pushed aside all the differences between them and paid his respects, much to many people’s surprise. Critics questioned this gesture and accused him of hypocrisy, alleging that he was mocking Gravity for his loss.

In an interview with Spark TV, Mikie Wine dismissed the allegations, noting that he doesn’t pay evil for evil and that his actions came straight from his heart.

He revealed that by the time he arrived at the burial site, the burial was already underway and the only activity left was to pour concrete on the grave, something he did wholesomely.

Mikie Wine
I arrived late and found that they had already put in the soil. When I got there, it was time to pour the concrete; that is why I got a spade and did what I did just like anyone else who had come to bury. I did it to paint a picture that you do not have to pay evil for evil. You do not have to insult a person who did the same to you. And another thing, death unites people. The deceased did nothing to me, Mikie Wine said.

That is how a responsible person is supposed to act. What you do is what determines whether it is coming straight from your heart or just pretending.
