Rapper Navio, real name Daniel Lubwama Kigozi, has revealed that he is past the age and era of convincing and proving to fellow rappers that he is the best.
Navio, during his appearance on Bruno K’s live broadcast ‘Ekiboozi’, was tasked to rate who the king of hip hop is between Babaluku, GNL, and himself. In his response, the Narvcop boss crowned himself and revealed that he has hit many milestones that most of the fellow artists in the genre have not.
Among the many achievements that make him stand out, Navio mentioned that he has performed in 46 countries and earned more than 60 awards. He also revealed that he has a large following, which is authentic, unlike fellow rappers who purchase bots on their social media platforms.
“I feel like it is a disservice to me to always go about telling people that I’m the king of hip hop. Ultimately, it is how I came to be in the industry. Talent and stats would speak for themselves. I have been an underground battle emcee and I have won many of them featuring the best guys in Africa, South Africa,” Navio said.
With all this to his name, Navio feels he is past the era of coming out to brag that he is the king of the genre. In addition to his line of achievements, the rapper boasted that he has also accumulated wealth; he opened up about the 50 apartments he had erected the previous year through his real estate business.

“I’m at the point where proving myself is a bit weird. I’m way past that, and when people talk about stats and money to me, it feels weird. I can only judge you on your talent and how I see you on the street,” he said.

Navio says he has encountered several fellow hip-hop artists who have made it a point to diss in their songs or at interviews when they get the chance. Renowned for his laidback attitude, Navio revealed that he would not waste his time dissing these rappers because they cannot lace his shoes when it comes to the milestones he has hit.
“I have been to like 60 shows this year and I haven’t seen any of them. Have been signed to the biggest streaming companies in the last four years. I have travelled the world and the country as well. A lot of the guys who talk about me have never done a show in Entebbe. They haven’t been booked,” he noted.
