NBS After5 producer who also doubles as Next Radio presenter Posha Aloyo recently opened up about how self-medication almost claimed her darling life.
Through her Twitter account, Posha revealed that she had been experiencing some pain for some time which she undermined.
When the pain persisted, she asked a friend to buy her painkillers confident that she would be fine with time.

However, this did not relieve the discomfort in her abdomen but rather intensified which forced her to go to the hospital.
After a thorough inspection by the physician, It was discovered that the presenter had critical appendicitis. She went home and continued taking painkillers to curb the persistent pain.
After realizing that the painkillers were not working to her expectation, she went to Case Hospital for further medical review.
According to the results from the hospital, she needed an emergency operation, which was successfully conducted, and is currently home healing.
She thanked the medical team who worked tirelessly to see that her life comes gets back to normal, urging everyone never to try self-medication as it is never a solution to their illnesses.
