Western Uganda-based singer Omega 256 has addressed her alleged feud with Ray G, a fellow prominent artist from the same region.
For some time now, there have been rumors that the self-styled Queen and King of the West do not see eye to eye as they are battling for supremacy in the region.
This was confirmed when Ray G had a concert at Cricket Oval and several artists from the West supported him but not Omega. She had a show in Ishaka on the same day.
In her defense, Omega states that her show was a coincidence and she could not make it to Kampala because of distance. Otherwise, she had no problem performing at his show.
“Do you know the distance between Mbarara and Kampala? Do you want to tell me everyone in the West attended? The show I performed at was random and I was just booked. I wouldn’t refuse to come through,” she said.
Without denying or confirming if they are truly enemies, Omega 256 revealed that there is no communication or dealings between them.
“I do not hear from him. We just see each other like that. We do not mind each other,” Omega noted as she expressed frustration at the question.
Omega 256 will hold her debut concert in May at Lugogo Cricket Oval and has a lineup of artists ready to support her. When asked if Ray G was among those invited, she dodged the question and told her fans to look forward and support anyone who will step on stage.

“Many other artists will be there in Lugogo. You will see those who will come and those who will not. We are not at the show yet so no one can know who will be performing. Just expect superstars,” Omega noted.
