Western Uganda-based singer Omega 256 announced the extension of her concert from May to September, citing the limited time she spent in the organization and some other factors she failed to disclose.
Omega 256 made the announcement at a press conference alongside fellow Western Ugandan artists Mariam Tindatine and Prosha, among others.
The self-styled Queen of the West revealed that her show will still be at the Cricket Oval, but she and her management will organize it this time. This would give her enough time to make the necessary arrangements and eliminate the drama that comes with promoters.
“I’m saddened to let you know that our show won’t be happening on the 2nd of May as earlier communicated. My heart is so sad and I’m so sorry to disappoint you all. My team and I tried so much to have my show on the 2nd but unfortunately, we failed because of the time limit and other things, some you know, the others you don’t,” she said.
Omega’s show had also turned tribal, with music lovers claiming that it would only be for Western artists. However, to reduce the tension, Omega, during the presser, revealed that she would be entertaining all music lovers, putting aside their tribes and the artists they support.

She also addressed the said beef between her and Ray G, encouraging her fans to concentrate on promoting her show.

Omega’s concert has been surrounded by controversies, especially with the event promoter Nobat Events, who has come out in the press several times claiming he had cancelled the show. According to Nobat, the reason behind their fallout was that Omega lacked respect for him.
