Celebrated music producer Paddyman has addressed the allegations made by Eddy Kenzo that Bobi Wine copied and pasted his song beats to release his own.
Appearing in an interview last month, Eddy Kenzo who was by then under Bobi Wine’s camp; Firebase Records released his famous collaboration ‘Yanimba’ with Mikie Wine which he claimed was one of Bobi Wine’s favorite songs at that time.
He alleged that Bobi Wine drew inspiration from his song, remodeling its beats, and developing his song ‘Promise,’
Additionally, Kenzo released “Sonyiwa Muno,” and Bobi Wine was so quick to release his rendition dubbed “Wesotinge” both of which rhymed similarly and this compelled him to trace the record label exit.
Producer Paddyman, one of the brains behind the songs’ production watered down the allegations, noting that the pattern in which the progression chords are played in the songs was different.
While playing both songs on his piano, Paddyman elaborated that the chord sequence in both songs was not similar.
The song was released in 2009 and Producer Paddyman worked hand in hand with producer Tony Haules on the audio. He suggested that Eddy Kenzo would have done thorough research about music before he came up with unsubstantiated accusations.

With due respect my brother Eddy Kenzo, you need to do more research on music before you come out to claim that people stole your songs because this is our job. Another thing is that you are the presidential advisor so you should be careful. You will continue accusing everyone of stealing your songs if you do not fully understand the progression.
“I’m not just talking to Eddy Kenzo but every artist out there to stop arguing about the chord progressions because you do not own them,” Producer Paddyman revealed.
