Renowned standup comedian Patrick Salvado Idringi calls it a day at Sanyu FM after almost two years of working with the station.
Salvador revealed his intention to resign from his duties at Sanyu FM where he has been hosting the ‘Sanyu Breakfast’ through a lengthy Facebook post.
According to Salvador, he accepted the Radio hosting job from his longtime friend Rajiv Ruparelia, during the economic hardship of the COVI-19 pandemic in 2020.
His new task was a piece of cake since he had done radio presenting before commencing his comedy career.
He was assigned to work with Miss Deedan and Tindimwebwa Yvonne and the trio was to host ‘Sanyu Breakfast’ that airs in the morning from Monday to Friday.
However, after the government revamped the economy, Patrick Salvador had to proceed with his “first love” which is stand-up comedy.
Since radio is a real-time job that requires consistency, Salvdo chose to concentrate on his comedy career to avoid being unfair to his team and the company.
He disclosed that he will be hosting the radio show once in a while until the end of April when he will officially put down his working tools.
He thanked his working team, his boss Rajiv Ruparelia, and Sanyu Radio for providing a conducive working environment throughout the years he has worked with the station.
