Budding singer Pen Da Black has called out Gaza Empire boss Fik Gaza for allegedly stealing his song and changing just the title.
Appearing before journalists, Pen Da Black claimed that he released his song dubbed ‘Njaga’ on the 14th of April 2024, and after days of distribution, he uploaded it on the internet on the 22nd of the same month.
To his dismay, Fik Gaza uploaded his version ‘Nyama’ just six days ago which is now trending more than the original song.
Pen Da Black says he tried contacting Fik Gaza in vain, hence resorting to putting out a visual message using his TikTok account, alerting the members of the public that Fik Gaza had stolen his song.
“The comments that came back from his fans and the people around him were warning me to back down, also threatening to put me down saying I’m looking for a name. I do not know where to find him because I have never seen him face to face,”
Pen Da Black pointed out that he handed the matters before his fans after assuming he would not get any positive feedback from the Eddy Kenzo-led UNMF.
“I tried reaching out to the federation but I do not think they will come through. I do not know where to start from, that is why I’m calling upon Eddy Kenzo, Sheebah, and any other concerned person to help me because you know the hustles we go through.
“I’m just a ghetto youth trying to make ends meet and I released my song and before I shot the video, Fik Gaza dropped it. He is more famous, has a huge following and is better than me in every way but I’m also an artist, I invested money, my energy into the song,” he said.

Pen Da Black first sought assistance from the Central Police Station (CPS) and claims he had obtained a reference number and had a file opened up for the case of theft before running to the media to seek help.
“He is currently being pursued because I tried reaching out to him through TikTok or even getting someone else to explain to me. I do not have issues with him, never fought with him but he has not come out over this matter. His song is currently trending since he has a huge following. That is why I decided to run to the media for help,” he said, also displaying the reference number.
When contacted, Fik Gaza in his defense, maintains that the song was sold to him by an underground songwriter whose name he refused to disclose but says they have worked together on a number of his projects.

“A songwriter came up to me and sold me the song, that is why I released it. He is a good writer and he has written some of my songs. He should know that his song was about weed and mine is different. I do not know why he doesn’t understand this,” Fik Gaza revealed as he denied knowing Pen Da Black.
Pen Da Black insists that the only way he could get compensated is to have a round table discussion with Fik Gaza and come up with a way to work together to help lift his career. And if all fails, he will go to the courts of law to have it settled.
“Truth, is I invested my money and time. Let it not just go to waste. If he liked the song, he would have hit me up with suggestions of a collabo just like Jose Chameleone lifted him up. He would not have gotten the fame he has right now,” he said.
