The inaugural Janzi Academy Awards (JAA) alluded to be the top awards ceremony seek to celebrate the creative industry, bring together different experiences of Uganda’s cultural and music heritage as well as its significance to the economy are underway.
The awards are underway with the opening ceremony with the awarding ceremony skated for this Sunday starting from 2:00pm at Kololo Independence Grounds.
Stanbic Bank together with Uganda Communications Commission are the official sponsors of the Janzi Awards.
On 9th December, Stanbic announced through a press release its contribution of a cash prize twenty five million shillings (25m) which will be shared among five categories with each of the winners taking five million (5m).
Douglas Lwanga a presenter of “After 5”at NBS applauded Stanbic Bank for this great contribution towards the success of this award ceremony as they commemorate the creative and performing Arts industry to become a thriving part of the country’s shared heritage.
