Singer Ray G real name Reagan Muhairwe has urged central-based Ugandan stars to stop dispising musicians from Western Uganda.
Over the weekend, media personality Douglas Lwanga held the just concluded sold-out Purple Party Tour at University Inn in Mbarara.
Several musicians from different parts of Uganda were given a platform to perform for the fully packed revellers, and the likes of Lydia Jazmine, Karole Kasita, Ray G, Truth 256 among others left party goers yearning for more.
The event was going down amicably until singer Truth 256’s performance was cut short by the event organizers.
The gesture portrayed hit Ray G on the nerves, taking to the podium to air out his grievances.
According to Ray G, he is fed up with the growing vice in the music industry of undermining and describing Western artists by the region they come from.
The “Omusheshe” star noted that Truth 256 is not an upcoming artist and cutting his performance short yet he was announced as one of the performers was disrespectful and ought to be condemned.
