Veteran singer Red Banton has urged his loved ones and fans to celebrate him with alcohol, dance, and music when he dies instead of spending days crying and mourning over his demise.
Red Banton who rose to fame in the late 90’s and became a darling to many has also encouraged all his loved ones to instead have their favorite beers in remembrance of him.
Contrary to the societal norms where mourners must pray for their deceased loved ones, in Red Banton funeral wish, he doesn’t care about these practices as long as they are having fun and celebrating his legacy.
He might have welcomed everyone, but Red Banton issued a stern warning towards any gangs or attendees who would want to cause trouble and disrupt the ceremony. He emphasized that he wanted his day to be peaceful and joyous, away from violence and chaos.
“I do not know what will happen but the day of my death, people should just put a disco, dance and have fun. If they decide to pray for me, well and good and if they do not, it is also okay as long there is disco for my people to enjoy themselves and drink alcohol,” he said.
Red Banton’s farewell wish comes to light with the Late Radio Mowzey’s birthday celebrations that happened last week at his burial site Kagga.
