Rickman Manrick has once again drawn the line between him and longtime nemesis Grenade Official, emphasizing that he would not step at his concert to support him.
Last month, Deus Ndugwa, commonly known by his stage name Grenade Official announced that he would be staging his maiden concert dubbed ‘Ndi Yaddeko’ at Lugogo Cricket Oval on Valentine’s Day next year.
While some artists have shown their support and promised to come through, Rickman noted that he would never attend the concert because the two are not friends.
In January this year, Grenade was arrested by police during Fik Fameica’s concert following charges slapped against him in relation to an altercation that happened last year between him and Rickman.
Rickman who was in the company of his then-girlfriend Sheilah Gashumba at La Terrazza sustained a deep injury on his lips, ending up in hospital.
Months after the incident, Grenade Official revealed that he had finally reconciled with Rickman with the help of fellow musician Eddy Kenzo, who sat them down and had them talk it out like men. He made sure that the two forgave each other and moved on from the ugly incident.
Rickman, however, waters down Grenade Official’s previous statements stating that he was never friends with him and there was no way he would mend a friendship that never existed in the first place.

I cannot get myself to attend his (Grenade) concert because he is not my friend and he has never been my friend.
We cannot mend a friendship that was never there. I cannot even step there to support him. I only attend to support my friends and maybe those artists that I love. I do not hate him but I just do not have time for such weird stories, he said.
