Comedy duo of Sammie and Shawa have issued an apology following their skit that seemingly mocked Bobi Wine who sustained injuries in a scuffle with Police in Bulindo, Wakiso district.
The comedians, who had drawn inspiration from Bobi Wine and President Museveni to make skits, were so quick to use the opportunity to generate a skit which showcased at the comedy store.
However, the skit generated remarkable backlash, as Bobi Wine’s supporters criticized the comedians for using the singer and politician’s challenging situation as a laughing matter.
Despite the criticism, Sammie and Shawa turned out to be unapologetic and emphasized that their act was purely for comedy and had no intentions of hurting Bobi Wine or making him sad.
Today, however, the duo has issued an apology, revealing that they realized that their skit was hurtful, and for that, they are sorry.
