Shakib Cham in a heart-wrenching phone interview has bravely shared his side of the story, painfully revealing the disrespect he has endured from his wife, Zari Hassan regarding her ex and baby daddy Diamond Platnumz.
All this drama was started by Zari over the weekend when she hoped onto a live addressing what went down when her baby daddy, Diamond Platnumz made a surprise visit at her South Africa home during their daughter, Princess Tiffah’s birthday celebrations.
According to Shakib Cham, Zari called to inform him about Diamond coming around for the birthday, something he did not have any issues with but begged her not to post any videos that would mock or set him up for internet drags.
“I do not have a problem with him to a point that I do not want him to be with his kids. Many people like Rema and Kenzo but there has not been any point that Rema has disrespected Hamza. By all means he respects him but for me, they disrespect me going by the videos she posts. I pleaded with her not to do it because it disturbs my mental health,” he said.
It was not long after Shakib saw videos of Zari rubbing shoulders with Diamond Platnumz, recorded in the same manner he had warned her against. This triggered him and he ended up not picking up her calls when she tried to reach out.
“When I didn’t pick up her calls, she jumped on a live session and started accusing me of all these things. She was so drunk and started saying I refused to pick up her calls because Diamond had come to see his kids. I have not refused him to see his kids and I do not have a problem with that because it doesn’t concern me. I only asked her what she was going to do while with him,”
Ever since they got into the relationship, Shakib Cham claims Zari has done a lot of hurtful things and most of the time when they fight, he would run to the media and post touching quotes and posts as a coping mechanism, something he says he doesn’t do anymore because he is used to being treated that way.
“However much it hurts, I’m used to it. It doesn’t hurt the way it used to. So they can do whatever they want to do, I’ll go with those who defend me,” he added.
Zari being a socialite and famous reality star across the nation, has a huge following that will back her up in case such a scandal broke out. Shakib Cham maintains that she can’t outcompete her and defend himself against all the allegations.
“I’m just going to take it that the woman I’m with is either using me or I’m using her. I have tried to see if there is any love between us but it’s only on my side,” he said.
Despite being disrespected, Shakib maintains that he has tried to protect Zari’s image in public by avoiding girls being around him, something that he says would trigger her even when there are no romantic intentions.
“I had a video shoot with Nina Roz, Fik Fameica, Mudra, and Zex and when I told her about it, she got pissed saying that me getting close to Nina Roz was disrespectful to her and people would see it in a different way. But she in turn showed that I do not matter,” he said.
Shakib Cham says he regrets getting entangled with Zari because he thought they had a genuine relationship with feelings but it turned out that he was being played.
“I’m going to move on with my life. She is not remorseful. Most times she gets embarrassed and out of anger, breaks up with me. So, if it is like this, I do not have a problem with that. If we are to get back with her, I will be in it that we are both using each other,” Shakib Cham said.
At one point in the live video, Zari claimed to be catering to all of Shakib Cham’s needs and paying all the bills in their marriage, something he rubbished. The only time he recalls collecting money from his wife was when they had traveled to Tanzania for a gig and out of the $40K she was paid, she gave him $2K.
“No marriage lasts without respect. I would have stood her disrespect if she was paying my bills, but I do myself. I work hard for my money. She can’t put me down because of the small money she gave me. I can’t keep quiet on the money that I can spend in two days,” he said.
