Businessman and socialite Shakib Cham has boldly declared that he is not intimidated by his wife, Zari Hassan’s influential social status.
Shakib recently made his debut on Netflix’s Young Famous And African alongside his wife who was already a star on the show. Before he married Zari who boasts a huge following on social media, Shakib was living a lowkey life.
Now that they are both in the limelight, people were wondering if they were compatible and how he would be able to handle her as a wife. Shakib Cham, however, dismissed their concerns noting that he was aware of who his wife was before they got married, and when they are together, Zari puts behind all the fame and persona.
“To me, it is not because I knew her from way back. When I’m with her, I do not see that side though sometimes it kicks in but again I try to ignore it,” Shakib Cham said.
Recently during one of the Young Famous And African episodes, Zari’s baby daddy, Diamond Platnumz who is also a co-star mentioned that he could easily snap his finger and have her running back to him if he wanted.
When asked if he was bothered by his statement, Shakib maintained that he was confident and dismissed Diamond’s statements noting that it was a common tactic used by ex-partners to manipulate and control their former partners.

“It is the same thing I can say to my exes; it doesn’t mean it is the reality. I might say something to intimidate another person but then it doesn’t mean it is true. I was not really bothered; I’m not God to rule out that he cannot have her back but it didn’t bother me. I believe in God’s timing; If he says that my part in the relationship has ended then it is gonna end. If it hasn’t then it is what it is,” he said.
