Sheebah Karungi has come out to address the long-standing rumors surrounding her relationship with former manager, Jeff Kiwa. For nearly a decade, Sheebh worked alongside Jeff under his Team No Sleep (TNS) label, producing numerous hits.
Despite repeated reports of their split, Sheebah Karungi and Jeff Kiwa consistently dismissed the claims until late 2021, when their separation was made official due to personal disagreements that were never made known to the public.
The close working relationship between Sheebah and Jeff made many speculate that there was a romantic involvement. In an interview, Sheebah has come out to categorically deny the allegations, emphasizing that their connection was strictly professional.
We had a relationship entirely based on work. That is what actually mattered the most and that is what people should remember us for because I don’t think any of us has ever come out to say otherwise, Sheebah Karungi revealed.
Sheebah further urged Ugandans to refrain from making assumptions and respect people’s boundaries. She clarified that her collaboration with Jeff was solely focused on music.
Apart from the assumptions, people should also learn to respect what people are known for. We were known for doing music together and that is it, she concluded.
When Sheebah Karungi quit TNS, she moved on, forming her own record label Karma Music which recently signed two new artists. She currently stands out as one of the best female artists in the Ugandan music industry and her music success is not only credited to her hard work but also Jeff Kiiwa working tirelessly to push her to the top.
