Songstress Sheebah Karungi has addressed recent claims linking her to the popular Goodlyfe Crew consisting of Weasel Manizo and the late Radio Mowzey, denying ever being part of the crew.
The controversy was sparked by Weasel who posted Sheebah’s concert poster on the Goodlyfe social media platforms, praising her and claiming she had roots with Goodlyfe.
Weasel stated that Goodlyfe helped boost her music career by uploading her debut singles on their official channel when she lacked a YouTube presence.
In an interview, however, Sheebah denied being part of the Goodlyfe crew explaining that her involvement was limited to featuring as a video vixen in their music video ‘Magnetic’.
Sheebah Karungi received a last-minute call from a mutual friend to replace an absent vixen. After the shoot, the then Goodlyfe manager Jeff Kiiwa took her under his wings, signing her to his label Team No Sleep.
I have never been part of Goodlyfe. They were looking for a replacement of the video vixen for their Magnetic video and Bush called a night before because the person who was supposed to be there had not come through.
I was just starting out my career and I needed people like Goodlyfe; even if it meant appearing as a vixen, it was enough because someone would still see you. I did the video and left. From there, Jeff Kiiwa handed me his card because he loved my work and volunteered to help me push my new project, Ice Cream. It was a good song but lacked boasting. He helped me with that but I was not part of Goodlyfe,” Sheebah Karungi said.
When asked about how her ‘Twesaana’ video got to their channel, Sheebah Karungi revealed that they uploaded it without her consent. By then, she had established her channel, which Team No Sleep used to build her career. She emphasized that she never authorized Goodlyfe to share her video on their channel.

I have been with my YouTube Channel ever since I started out and even when I joined Team No Sleep, they just built on that. I was already an artist and going to them, I was looking for exposure for my career, meaning I already have a YouTube channel of my own.
You can’t just wake up and upload my songs on Goodlyfe’s channel. They did it without my consent because there are a lot of things that happen to you when you are still naïve. They did it without my knowledge. I’m not playing a part in that, I don’t even know when it was done, it has nothing to do with me, Sheebah Karungi revealed.
