The Muslim community has this evening been dealt a heavy blow following the untimely death of former Supreme Mufti, Sheikh Siliman Kasule Ndirangwa.
Sheikh Ndirangwa breathed his last this evening, 20th June 2025, in Mengo Hospital at 6:15 PM after grappling with several health challenges.
Following his death, a vigil is ongoing at his home in Konge, Kampala district. It is here that the late’s family and friends converged to pay their last respects.
He will subsequently be transported to Masaka, Kirayangoma, after Kinoni, where he will be laid to rest at his ancestral burial site on 21st June 2025.

The news of Sheikh Siliman Kasule Ndirangwa’s death has been met with significant sorrow among Ugandans, who have taken to social media to offer their condolences.

Sheikh Siliman Kasule resigned in 2021 as the Supreme Mufti, and he is remembered as a strong pillar in the Muslim faith; his legacy will endure forever.
