Singer Shiddy Stylo, real name Rashid Kasibante has expressed interest in competing against his former friend, also fellow musician Hillary Kiyaga alias Dr. Hilerman for the Mawokota North MP seat in the coming 2026 general elections.
While unveiling his campaigning posters, Shiddy Stylo claims that he was part of the group that lobbied for Dr. Hilderman to be voted as the area Member of Parliament, trusting that he would help his people.
However, as time went on, Hilderman allegedly lost focus and touch with his friends who had initially helped him attain his leadership dreams.
“He promised us that he would help our people, starting with his friends. He did not have any single coin and all the campaigns we did, he promised he would be paying us back when he gets to parliament.
Up to this time, he never picks my calls. There is no way he was to fulfill the promises he made to Mawokota people before settling us, his close circle first,” he said.
Shiddy also blames him for abandoning the young talents in his region who voted for him with the hope that he would improve their craft and support their hustles as budding artists.
“People voted for him because of his talent but he has done nothing. He just posts pictures once in a while holding a hoe yet he is supposed to take the voices of his people to parliament,” he noted.
Shiddy further claimed that he had earlier warned him that if he refused to fulfill his promises, he would contest against him in the upcoming elections.

Now that his campaign posters are out, Shiddy Stylo claims that it is too late for him to accept compensation in the form of money as he has always made up his mind that he would be running for the post.
