City socialite Sipapa alias Olim Charles and his wife Nakiyimba Shamirah have been remanded to Luzira prison.
On 5th September, the Police issued an arrest warrant on controversial socialite Sipapa following the aggravated robbery cases filed against him by Jacob Alopu a South Sudanese national.
Sipapa’s arrest warrant was issued hours after conducting a thorough search of his home in Buwate Kira Division, where exhibits of evidential material allegedly stolen from the home of Arok Jacob were recovered.
The socialite’s wife Nakiyimba Shamirah who was at home by the time of the search was arrested and the other three house occupants.
A day after, Sipapa appeared in a video clip noting that he is green about the allegations, before handing himself to Kabalaga police.
Earlier today, the duo was produced before the Grade one Magistrate, Patience Tukundane at Makindye court in Kampala amidst tight security.

Sipapa 33 and Shamirah 23 years were not allowed to take plea owing the charges slapped against them can only be heard by a High Court judge.
They were charged with six counts of aggravated robbery and sent to Luzira upper prison until 19th September 2022.
