Sir Jaylor vows to go toe-to-toe with Azawi’s social media bullies

Swangz Avenue’s talent manager, Sir Jaylor, has vowed to respond to social media critics and bullies who target the artist, Azawi.

Sir Jaylor, who handles Azawi’s music under Swangz Avenue, warned all critics who intend to attack the singer during an interview that she will always defend her.

She recalled one day when she came out to defend Azawi, and Twitter/X users nicknamed her ADF (Azawi Defense Forces) because of how vigorously she stood up for her. She noted that she would not stand by and watch social media users attack her artist, vowing always to confront and fight back.

“If you jump on my artist, I will jump on you too. I’m not Michelle Obama, you go low, I go lower. You can never bully my artist, especially if I know the truth; I will come out with guns blazing,” she said.

Azawi has always come off as reserved, but she is known for her outspoken nature, especially on social media. On various occasions, she has openly expressed her views on contentious topics, particularly politics, which has made her a target of those who disagree with her opinions. Jaylor explained that many times when she brings up a topic, she is armed with her facts and will always stand her ground.

Jaylor further revealed that Azawi has not experienced intense levels of bullying but recounted her going through this phase when she had just released her hit single ‘My Year’.

“She was a bit new in the industry and everyone interpreted the song in a different way. Felt bullied but came out of it stronger. She went on to write the biggest album in Africa; so we got a good thing out of it. We have never experienced that much bullying but if we ever do, ADF will arise,” she spoke to Nrg.
