Spice Diana shares her experience with music industry challenges

Musician Spice Diana has opened up about how challenging and harsh the industry has been during her ten-year music career.

Spic Diana got the inspiration to join music in her senior four vacation when she watched the Ghetto Kids dance. She wrote her first song, ‘Nze Akwagala,’ and managed to record it with the help of the Ghetto Kids manager. In her senior six, she got her breakthrough song ‘Onsanula’ that introduced her to the people.

It was challenging because, as a child under 18 years, she had to move around clubs at night distributing her music, which was risky. Even when men wanted to prey on her, she did not fall victim because she was determined and knew what she wanted in life.

In the ten years she has been active in the music industry, Spice Diana says she has encountered numerous challenges. She has gone through a lot to the point that she is now immune and doesn’t care anymore.

She has been called names, accused of the worst things imaginable, and subjected to many other insults, yet nothing that happens in the industry breaks her.

“Publicly I do not have anything that moves me. I have been through a lot and people have said a lot about me. They have declared me dead before. Publicly, I have dealt with so many and many are still coming up. I just have to sit and wait to see what they are bringing next because you do not know what will happen tomorrow,” she spoke to Ibrah of Tawfiq Media.

According to Spice Diana, the only challenges that move her are personal, which she cannot openly discuss. These include the growing responsibilities that she has in her charity foundation.

“The only challenges that break me now are personal that I cannot expose. The more you grow, the more responsibilities. I have many families, workers, and children. That depends on me on everything. Those responsibilities are my only challenges now. They are the only people I think about and cannot even discuss them,” she said.
