A Pass, Sseku Martin

A Pass shares how gospel artist Sseku Martin inspired him to pursue music, names him his forever best artist

Singer A Pass, born Alexandar Bagonza has named veteran gospel artist Sseku Martin as his all-time favorite musician in the industry because of the great role he played in his music career.

The dancehall singer in an interview revealed that he met the ‘Siritya’ hitmaker way back in the 90s when he was just a student with a dream of doing music but had not yet pursued it.

When Sseku had a performance at the Nile Mansion Hotel, now Serena Hotel, A Pass together with his siblings went to watch him live since he was a very big fan of his music.

A Pass’ brother persuaded him to walk up to his idol and have an interaction, a decision that he says changed his life forever.

I kickstarted my music career because of Sseku Martin. He took me to the studio and gave me a beat on which I recorded ‘Proud To Be Saved’, a gospel Reggae song. That is where I started from and went on to write other songs back in school, A Pass narrated.

A Pass

For what Sseku Martin did for him and his career, A Pass names him as the best artist to ever grace the face of the music industry, beating the famous ‘big three’.

I loved gospel music so much then and Sseku Martin was my favorite artist. Up to now he is my favorite artist ever. I rank him among the best three artists and he would still take the number one spot because he was the first person to ever take me to the studio, he noted.
