The two teachers who were seen in a viral video excessively punishing their student Brian Akampa have been arrested and detained by the Police.
The two males were identified as Aneb Mwesigye (31) and Naboth Twesigye (30) from Standard College Rwashamaire, Ntugamo.
In the video, Aneb and Naboth were seen harshly caning the 16-year-old Brian Akampa and the two have been remanded in custody in Ntungamo on charges of assault.
The Standard College Rwashamaire teachers appeared in court, where Magistrate Nassuna Sharon presided over the case.
Mwesigye and Twesigye were formally charged with assault but both denied the accusations and pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The court has ordered that the two teachers remain in custody until their next court appearance, scheduled for March 4, 2025.
