Swangz Avenue boss Julius Kyazze has revealed why the label joined efforts with events promoter KT to stage Nwagi’s just concluded concert.
On 9th September, Winnie Nwagi held her maiden concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala which turned out successful.
Unlike Azawi’s concert, Swangz avenue partnered with KT events to bring Winnie Nwagi’s concert to life.
However, critics had it that Swangz had little or no confidence in Winnie Nwagi, hence selling the event to KT events.
While appearing in an interview with Urban TV, Julius Kyazze rubbished the allegations saying they are untrue and baseless.
Julius revealed that Nwagi’s concert was planned to take planned in 2020 and the venue was already booked but the event was dealt a heavy blow by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Upon the government opening the night economy, Swangz Avenue immediately booked Lugogo Cricket Oval with much anticipation that Winnie Nwagi would fill it given her longevity on the music scene and her big fan base.

He further stressed that since they wanted to hold a streak of extra concerts all over the country, they saw it wise to partner with someone who has diverse knowledge about events beyond Kampala and that was KT events.
