Today 18 August 2024, the late political analyst Joseph Tamale Mirundi has been laid to rest in his eternal resting place in Kalagala Village, Kaliisizo in Rakai District.
The late Mirundi breathed his last on August 13, 2024, after grappling with lung-related complications for a month.
Following his untimely demise, several vigils were held at his residences, with the last one occurring in Kalagala Village in Kaliisizo, Rakai District.
Before his demise, Tamale Mirundi had made several funeral wishes like opposing a church requiem mass and desiring to be buried in an upright position in a 15-feet deep grave among others.
However, the family deviated from his desires, deeming them as jokes, and pointing out that some wishes were against the cultural norms and traditions.
Today, Tamale Mirundi’s burial was successfully carried out, commencing at 10:00 AM with a prayer mass before laying him to rest at Kalagala Village, Kaliisizo in Rakai District.

Several dignitaries from different backgrounds graced Mirundi’s burial and expressed condolences to the late’s family.
