Capital FM is partnering with several service providers in the country to bring to life one lucky couple’s dream wedding in a campaign dubbed The Big Wedding.
Dubbed The Big Wedding, the campaign came to life in 2013, offering one lucky couple a fully sponsored dream wedding.
Since its inauguration, this year’s edition marks the campaign’s third edition, with its launch held today at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
While addressing the congregation at the launch, Capital FM’s CEO, Peter Mungoma revealed that the Kamwokya-based station is dedicated to making life more memorable for its listeners.
For the last 30 years, Capital has been at the heart of creating special events and promotions that leave a lasting impact like bringing Boys 2 Men to Uganda. We believe in celebrating the milestones in our listeners’ lives, and a wedding is one of the most significant. We’re proud to be part of that, Mungoma said
The Big Wedding has over the years been renowned for creating the ultimate experience for the winning couple and filling capital FM listeners with joy and excitement.
This year’s event is expected to be hosted by morning show stars Lucky Mbabazi and Gaetano Kaggwa, who promise to keep the excitement high as the competition unfolds.
This year’s ‘The Big Wedding‘ edition boasts an impressive lineup of sponsors, led by Speke Resort Munyonyo, the breathtaking venue for the much anticipated big day. Known for its luxurious amenities and stunning views, the resort will serve as the perfect setting for the wedding celebration. Additional sponsors include Rwanda Air, Uganda Breweries, Fragolino Wines, Sarah’s Cake, Hair by Zziwa, Love and Lace Bridal Emporium, and Xcy Events among others.
Sheila Tusiime, the NBS news anchor and CEO of Love and Lace Bridal revealed that she was approached by Capital FM to be part of the The Big Wedding campaign expressing her excitement for choosing her among the so many other bridal stores in the country.

I like to give back to the community because I believe in reaching out to people because you never know those people could be able help you, impact you or your business. We grow by holding each other’s hand and helping other people so that it why we decided to be part of it. Since it is in November, I am one person who believes in christmass, the spirit of giving joy the sharing of happiness and I guess this wedding ushers us into that particular season.
Additionally, Mr. Christopher Galukande the Xcy Events CEO promised something different ahead of the event, pledging to take fans on a journey, covering every stage of the campaign from selecting the couples, studio sessions, having taglines, makeup sessions, cake tasting, and much more until the final day.

Richard Businge, General Manager of Fragolino Limited, shared his enthusiasm for the event, saying,
We’re thrilled to be part of this memorable occasion, and we’ll be providing 100 bottles of sparkling wine to make sure the couple and their guests celebrate in style.” In addition to the festive drinks, Rwanda Air has generously offered the winning couple a honeymoon trip to Dubai, while Love and Lace will provide the bridal gown and attire for the bridal party.
