Renowned TikToker Nalubowa Teddy, who celebrated Gen. Tumwine’s passing, has been granted bail.
27 year-old Nalubowa, alias Tracy Manule Bobiholic was remanded to Luzira prison on September 9, 2022 prison after spending more than 10 days in police custody.
She was later on 26 September arraigned before Buganda Road Magistrate’s Court grade one judge Marion Mangeni, who turned down the bail application by Nalubowa’s lawyer MP Hon. Shamim Malende.
The state prosecutor asked the magistrate to postpone the court hearings until October 3rd so that she could study the sureties’ documentation before they could respond to the application.
Earlier today, Nalubowa Teddy who was charged with offensive communication was presented at the Buganda Road Court and was granted bail at UGX 500,000 cash and UGX 10,000,000 non-cash for each of the two sureties. (Nalubowa’s father David Ssemujju and Grandfather Emmie Sebuliba Busuulwa)
Ms Mangeni ruled that Nalubowa is still presumed innocent until proven guilty, and the sureties she presented are substantial.
