Ugandan musicians have teamed up with the Mayanja family to hold a memorial service for the late dancehall singer Ak 47.
It is eight years ever since Emmanuel Hermatton Mayanja alias AK 47 breathed his last at Nsambya hospital.
AK died on 16 March 2015 due to severe head injuries sustained following an alleged bathroom fall at Dejavu Bar and Restaurant in Kansanga.
He was later laid to rest in his eternal resting place in Kalangalo Mityana district. Ever since, his family, fellow musicians, and fans have held an annual memorial service in commemoration of the singer’s legacy.
Earlier today, Wednesday 22 March 2023, the music industry players and the Mayanja family held a memorial service at Kalangalo Mityana district where they prayed for the late self-proclaimed dancehall king to continue resting in peace.
