Former Mpaka Records signee Dre Cali real name Stephen Andrew Katende has hit hard at his former boss Ykee Benda.
Earlier last year, Dre Cali allegedly breached his music contract with Mpaka records, when relocated to Canada where he currently resides.
Addressing the matter, Ykee Benda argued that Dre Cali’s exit from the record label was not official, and that because the name “Dre Cali” was protected by copyright on the label, he was not permitted to use it beyond the boundaries of the record company.
However, Dre Cali seemed unbothered by Ykee Benda’s revelation, and reports on our news desk indicate that he plans to revive his music career, under a new alias Ultimate Sound Boy (USB).
In a video obtained by this Exclusive, Dre who was grooving to Cameroonian American Libianca ‘People’ song, added a few lines, that were seemingly addressed to Ykee Benda.
In his verse, Dre sung about how Ykee Benda once cherished him and predicted that the ‘Ekifuba’ crooner would eventually become a legend.
However, things turned upside down, and currently Ykee is tainting Dre Cali with fake stories all over social media.
