Talented dancer and choreographer Wembley Mo has opened up on the struggles he is facing with his children’s foundation.
The Wembley Mo Foundation has raised several children, such as Tenge Tenge, who have gone on to achieve great success and travel the world. Wembley Mo, speaking to Galaxy TV, revealed that he started the foundation many years ago and rented out small rooms at St. Posiano to house the children. When the rental situation became tricky, as the children couldn’t live peacefully with their neighbours, he shifted to their current home, which he has been renting since 2017.
He takes care of hundreds of children and describes the foundation as a home of blessings and hope. He, however, faces a significant challenge, especially when it comes to feeding, as he cannot afford their meals.
Wembley Mo noted that sometimes, the children sleep entirely hungry when they do not get anything to eat.
“On this foundation, I won’t lie, but sometimes we sleep hungry. The advantage is that my children understand the situation; they are hustlers. Many people eat one meal a day but here, sometimes we do not eat all,” he said.

Most people who run such foundations usually have funders who help them out financially, which is not the case with Wembley Mo. The children survive on the little money they earn from the gigs they get, of which they are not always paid.

He has, however, expressed his gratitude to the artists, including Gravity Omutujju and Kapeke, for their financial support of his cause.
