Veteran Kadongo Kamu singer Willy Mukabya has gone bare knuckles with band singer Chris Evans for calling him too old.
Chris Evans made the comments, claiming that he grew up watching Mukabya on a neighbor’s television while he was just six years old.
Willy Mukabya who was visibly bitter with Evans’ claims, in response, noted that only someone who is also old could call the other old.
He wondered why people would take an interest in his age, emphasizing that he doesn’t feel old because he knows how to take care of himself and maintain his youthful appearance.
“For a person to call you old, they too must be old. How old was he to say that he claims he started watching me? If he feels he is old, I do not feel the same way. I’m still young. I’m just aged but not old. Do I look that old? Why do you have interest in my age?” Willy Mukaabya questioned.
Chris Evans recently released a song ‘Sikyayinza’ where he cosplayed as an old man. In one of his lines, he mentioned that Willy Mukabya was too old to do some of the basic things by himself.
While explaining the song, Chris Evans claimed that the Kadongo Kamu singer must be in his late 70s and, therefore he was the right person to use to bring out the message in the song.
Willy Mukabya noted that it was illegal for Chris Evans to mention him in his song in that context and he could easily go legal and have him redo the whole song eliminating his name.

“It is illegal for him to include me in his song and I could just decide to sue him and make him redo the whole video. People like him do not take care of themselves and age quickly. If he says I’m old then we are both old. I cannot be as old as the person he portrayed in his song,” Willy Mukabya said.
