Winnie Nwagi has finally addressed the rumours suggesting that she uses hard drugs and substances every time she steps on stage.
According to Nwagi, the rumor was sparked by a particular blogger on TikTok who claimed that she uses ice, which was the reason behind her weight loss.
While speaking after her electric performance, the Swangz Avenue singer denied the drug addiction rumours, deeming them untrue. She revealed that malicious people spread them to tarnish her brand and image in the public eye.
“When they see body changes, they do not do research, and just because they are looking for views, they sit and say all this. This is all damaging in a way. You cannot say such a thing about my brand,” she said.
Winnie Nwagi is one of the few female stars known for her electrifying performances. Even when some think she is always under the influence of intoxicating substances, Nwagi distanced herself from alcohol before stepping on stage.
She explained that being intoxicated with alcohol significantly affects her voice and ability to perform, which is why she prefers to use energy boosters instead of alcohol.

“I cannot handle it because it can mess with my performance. Drinking reduces my energy. I cannot handle doing what I do while drunk. I’ll end up struggling with my voice. I go on stage very sober but a person out there will think I first drown in alcohol. That is my natural energy and when I get to the stage, I have a job of entertaining my fans because they have their reasons as to why they chose me.
