Ykee Benda, during an interview with Kasuku, revealed that artists were no longer doing quality music but instead resorted to pushing exciting music.
He blamed social media platforms like TikTok, which he said had given budding artists false hope that they could succeed through the hype generated by the promotion of their music.
He further noted that good quality music ended in John Blaq’s era and has been a trend since then, forcing promoters to resort to older artists like Fik Fameica, B2C, and others, who have extensive catalogues to entertain the audience.
Mudra D Viral responded to his laments through the comment section on Instagram, advising Ykee Benda to show the rest of the artists the way music is supposed to be done instead of wasting his time just talking about it.

Aroma also jumped in, defending herself and questioning whether her collaboration with Aknown ‘Mpeke’ was not good enough to cut.
