Gospel singer Julie Birungi cum Julie B Jeans has penned down a heartwarming birthday message to her daughter Esther Mutesasria as she celebrates a year older today.
Esther Mutesasria is Julie Birungi and Pastor Steven Mutesasira’s elder daughter, who is currently under her mother’s custody in Canada following the couple’s calling it quits.
As Esther legally turns an adult today, the elated mother took to her socials, recollecting the moments after welcoming her bundle of joy.
In a lengthy post, Julie Birungi revealed that it was her daughter Esther who ushered her into motherhood.
She adds that giving birth to Esther came with so many benefits like embracing her body and being comfortable in her own skin.

The gospel singer went on to note that her daughter introduced her to all sorts of love and prayed for the Lord to shine his grace and love on her, before reminding her how proud she is to be her mother.
It was you that made me a mother.

It was you that reduced me to the rubble of myself, and then built me back up stronger.
It was you that gave me so many reasons, but also reasons for criticizing my body, for loving what it gave me, and being comfortable in my own skin.

It was you that filled me with a type of gratitude I’d never known, each breath you took filled my lungs, each step you took was our journey together.
It was you that introduced me to so many firsts, to a different type of love, heartache.
It was you who unearthed me, things tucked away, no longer buried it was you who cracked me open.
It was you who showed me a different view of the world decisions, memories dreams are all shaped with you.
It was you I held and said you have made me a mother
It was you that gave me the scar on my tummy that will never go away.
