Zari Hassan urges believers to seek clarity following viral video of mother Mary’s appearance

Businesswoman and socialite Zari Hassan has expressed her disappointment with a section of believers who claimed that Mother Mary appeared before them in Gayaza Naalya.

Last week, social media was awash with videos of a group of people who gathered around a churchman’s house, kneeling and praying after allegedly spotting Mother Mary’s reflection in a house window.

In a video, Zari Hassan clearly doesn’t believe in the theory and could not stop lamenting about how much Ugandans have embarrassed their country before the rest of the world.

She claimed that her international friends kept asking about the saga, something that left her speechless and buried in shame.

You didn’t think it was the clouds reflecting through the windows and the whole town gathered around and continued touching the window for blessings. Uganda is very different because there are some things you do that embarrass us across the world. My South African people asked me about this saga and I had no words, she said.

The self-styled Boss Lady also felt that her native people always had something interesting and funny going on in their lives, wishing that they would instead use that energy to develop their country which she believes would be far more advanced if they were serious.

Zari Hassan further criticized the act of wasting data on non-developmental issues instead of prioritizing progress. Despite all the drama, she confesses her love for her country.

The rate at which things happen in Uganda is so fast. You come to TikTok and find new things every second. I wish the speed at which such things keep happening is the way this country moves; we would be very far in development.

Ugandans waste a lot of energy and time on silly things and they can’t use that to develop the country. There is always something happening. We should use our data in developmental things, not on stupid things like those. But whatever it is, we are proudly Ugandan, Zari Hassan said.
