Zex Bilangilangi Addresses Allegations Of Privately Visiting State House To Meet The President

Firebase singer Zex Bilangilangi has come out to address the allegations that he visited the State House to meet with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, something that has sparked criticism in the media.

The controversy surrounding musicians visiting the fountain of honor has for so long been an issue with netizens accusing the artists that do so of receiving handouts from the government.

Through his Twitter/X account, the ‘Ratata’ hitmaker shared a screenshot of a Facebook user welcoming him back from his private visit, claiming she had evidence. Zex Bilangilangi strongly denied the accusations, terming them as baseless and fabricated by people to tarnish his name.

“I have come across posts depicting that I was at the State House in Entebbe. (I don’t know for what purpose) but kindly disregard these allegations as they are fake, baseless, and aimed at tainting my hard-built brand,” Zex revealed, noting that he only knew of one State House, which is Bobi Wine’s Magere home and it’s long since he last visited.

In recent times, it has become a norm for musicians to visit the State House, leading to netizens questioning their motives. Many believe that these visits are amounting to bribes from the government, using taxpayers’ money. This has led to publicly criticizing these artists, with some facing boycotts on their shows.

Zex Bilangilangi’s alleged visit alongside other artists like Alien Skin, Jose Chameleone, Eddy Kenzo, and Bebe Cool among others had come as a huge surprise to many considering his known friendship with opposition leader, Bobi Wine.

Zex is among the few lucky rising artists who have got a chance to drink from Bobi Wine’s cup of wisdom after the Firebase Crew boss took him under his wings, giving him the golden opportunity to perform under his music group.
