Radio and TV personality Flavia Tumusiime has come public about why they opted to cover their son’s face.
Over the years, numerous celebrities have embraced the practice of covering or totally not sharing photos of their kids and those close to them.
Flavia Tumusiime and Andrew Kabuura, one of Uganda’s celebrity couples, were not exempted from the towering vice.
During a Q&A session in her Instagram story, Flavia stated that they made that decision because, as a couple in the media or showbiz, they had experienced both the positive and negative aspects and knew how crucial it was to protect their children and family from the public eye.
The expectant mother emphasized further that they chose to allow their son to grow up in an environment free from public shaming or the threat of someone using his image for bullying and they vow to uphold this commitment until they feel differently.

Flavia Tumusiime and Andrew Kabuura are not the first celebrities to embrace this idea, as Maureen Nantume and Cindy Sanyu, and others took the same direction.
As a couple in media or showbiz, we have experienced all the sides. The good, the bad, and the ugly and we know how it’s important to protect those in our lives. We can’t escape if anyone wants to come and be harsh online or in tabloids etc but we can protect family and of course our child. We decided to let him have a childhood where people don’t point fingers in public because he is our son or someone decide to use his picture to bully him etc. So its a decision we stand by until we feel otherwise.
