May 28th 2023 has been confirmed as the day when the third edition of the Menstrual Shebang Fashion Show.
The show that is organized by the Wellbeing Foundation is aimed at addressing issues of menstrual health and sexual reproductive health and Rights.
The Shebang Show will this year have 7 different fashion designers who will showcase their designs at the event that will happen at the Design Hub in Bugolobi.
According to Shyaaka Farid Lwanyaaga the founder of the Wellbeing Foundation and the organizer of the Shebang show, this year’s theme will be climate change and the outfits will be created to match the theme.
Lwanyaaga says that clothes and sanitary pads that are thrown after use also contribute a lot to climate change and it needs to be addressed.
Funds that are raised from the Shebang Fashion Show are used to help the young girls in Kisenyi access sanitary pads for free.

The Wellbeing Foundation has a menstrual station in Kisenyi where the girls from the slum go and access free sanitary pads and is also coached about menstrual hygiene and sexual reproductive health and rights.
