A verbal war has erupted between Kalifah Aganaga and King Saha after they fell out over a promotional request.
On 24th August 2024, singer Kalifah celebrated 10 years in the music industry at Wankulukuku Stadium. Just as it is a norm for every other Ugandan musician with a concert, they usually have their fellow singers record a promotional video, urging revelers to support their fellow singers.
According to Kalifah Aganaga, he had always come through to support King Saha on many occasions to the point that he even visited him on his sickbed. He also recalled when he paid him to sing at a gig only for him to turn up and refuse to perform.
All was okay until he reached out to King Saha to help him make a promotional video for his concert and to his dismay, he outrightly declined his request.
“There is nothing much between us, I just requested him to help me advertise my show and he refused and when the concert ended, I saw him on social media talking trash about me,” he said.
Kalifah Aganaga is part of the Uganda National Musicians Federation and also a close friend of the federation president Eddy Kenzo. King Saha being Bobi Wine’s close friend has always called out the federation leadership for accepting to waste taxpayers’ money through funding by the government.
According to Kalifah Aganaga, their beef stems from differing political views, something which he finds shocking and hypocritical considering the fact that King Saha was part of the ‘Tubonga Nawe’ project that saw a collective group of creatives come together to campaign for the side he is against now.
“The only thing he tells me is that I associate with Eddy Kenzo. But I just want to tell Saha to return the ‘Tubonga Nawe’ money. He should first tell us how much it was and we judge if it wasn’t the money he used to build his house. Then he will be clear. You can’t pretend to be clean yet you already ate the money. I was never part of the Tubonga Nawe project.
If he put this money in his pockets and used it, he can’t be badmouthing us, saying we are not good people. He should first clear his name. If not, he should first let us also enjoy the government money,” Khalifa said.
Despite the lack of support from King Saha, his concert went down unsabotaged. Empowered by his success, Kalifah Aganaga has publicly warned Saha to stay away from him, stating that he no longer needs his support.

For the concert, you didn’t promote it, you refused because you wanted it to flop. Now that the show has happened, you should keep quiet. I do not have any issue with you, I’m just happy because my show was a success. That shows that you are irrelevant and not needed in my affairs, your opinions no longer count, you no longer have any effect on me. You are the King, I’m the emperor,” Khalifa said as he thanked his fans for turning up in large numbers and shaming every other person that thought his show would flop.
