Abba Marcus Mayanja has come out to thank the general public who listened to his cry for help after the video he recorded calling out his father, Jose Chameleone who is currently bedridden in the hospital.
The 19-year-old has been trending in the past couple of days after dropping a bombshell exposing his paternal family and accusing them of neglecting his father who he says was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis because of his constant abuse of alcohol.
The post was met with mixed reactions with some judging the teenager for exposing his family business on a public platform.
A big section of internet users, however, applauded Abba Marcus for being brave and calling out his father for the growing vice that was set to destroy his life if it persisted.
Ignoring the negativity, Abba Marcus thanked everyone who brought light to his motion and revealed that his father was getting the best help he needed.
“I woke up and checked how much attention my post had gathered. When I opened my comment section, it reflected nothing but love and concern. I’m happy to see that contrary to what people believe, others see how much I love and respect my father and wish nothing but the best for him. I want to thank anyone on board and anyone that continues to bring attention to the issue that I presented.
My father is getting the help he needs; we are not quite there yet but we are making big steps towards it. This shows how much power Ugandans have on their hands. You may not know it yet but you may be saving my father’s life,” Abba Marcus said
Contrary to people’s claims that Abba Marcus’ video was made out of malice to embarrass his father, Abba rubbished the claims, describing Chameleone as his hero since his childhood days.

“As a son, my father has been a hero since I was a child, I have always looked up to him. I wanted to be him from as far as I remember. I want to clarify that all these concerns that I aired are some from me as an individual and I thank people for supporting my cause.
For the people who misunderstood my message and comprehended it negatively, I would like you to know that I care the least about what you have to say,” he said, promising to record a YouTube video about the whole incident.
