Bobi Wine: The People’s President Loses to 20 Days in Mariupol At The Oscars

Bobi Wine’s documentary film, titled “Bobi Wine: The People’s President,” unfortunately did not win the Oscars award for Best Documentary Feature Film.

Directed by Moses Bwayo, and Christopher Sharp, the film faced tough competition from other notable films such as “20 Days in Mariupol,” “The Eternal Memory,” “Four Daughters,” and “To Kill a Tiger.”

However, at the conclusion of the award ceremony on Sunday evening, the film “20 Days in Mariupol,” directed by Mstyslav Chernov, emerged as the victorious recipient of the prestigious accolade.

“20 Days in Mariupol” portrays a gripping first-person narrative of the early days of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

Despite not winning the award, “Bobi Wine’ film has garnered critical acclaim and attention for its powerful storytelling and portrayal of a modern-day political hero.
