Musician Bruno K born Kiggundu Bruno has opened up on the current situation between him and his baby mama, Vannessa Kirabo Atuhaire, putting to rest all the rumors that they were back together romantically.
Bruno K has on many occasions made headlines and become a topic of discussion on social media not for his music but for his numerous affairs with different women.
His first baby mama, only identified as Racheal, mothered his firstborn, Briella Kiggundu, 5 but later passed on in December 2021 due to a strange illness. With Racheal, Bruno K confirms that they dated for some time until they realized their relationship would not work anymore and decided to part ways.
Last year, Vannessa came out in the media, accusing the singer of neglecting their son, Seth Kiggundu. The two were involved in a verbal war, leading to a DNA test to ascertain the paternity of the child.
When they moved past the drama and resorted to co-parenting, Vannessa was seen in different media interviews saying that they had mended their broken relationship and painted a picture that they were back together as lovers. In a sit-down interview, Bruno K confirms that the affair was just a fling and there were no feelings involved from his side.
There is a difference between dating and just a fling. I can ask a girl out and express my interest, we start going on dates, text every day, go on dates, share sweet messages; that is dating. Among my baby mamas, I have dated one, the other one we just had a fling. It happened when I was a bit younger but regardless, I do not regret it. We didn’t date. There was nothing like love but it did not stop us from being parents, Bruno K said.
In this interview, Bruno K denied having dated, saying that it was just a fling that resulted in a baby. He stated that he is currently not in a relationship with his baby mama, putting an end to the entitlement just because they had a child together.
There is this entitlement going around but the fact that I have a child with you doesn’t mean I’m your man. I’m just a father of your child. For someone to be your man, they need to first take you to the altar, marry you, visit your parents, do a Nikkah, go to court and all; if not that, the man is not yours even when you have a child.
Tomorrow anyone can come and take that man away and you have no right to claim him because he has not married you. You are just a mother of my kid; we had something and it didn’t work out, you should not have that entitlement, Bruno K said.
Bruno K further revealed that he is not ready to settle down in marriage because he has been betrayed and disappointed by many women in the past and he chooses not to rush. He wants to take his time, studying a woman before he fully commits.
I do not want to marry today and then tomorrow I’m out of the marriage. I’m a guy who doesn’t want to be uncomfortable if I’m to choose someone to spend the rest of my life with. I have to be 100% sure. I do not want to marry for just. By the time I walk down the aisle with someone’s daughter, I want to be sure they are the one, he said.
He, however, confirms having fallen in deep love in 2015 to the point that he proposed to this girl who blatantly rejected his proposal because of how broke he was. This was before his career took off and he could not afford to take care of himself.
