Musician David Lutalo has finally confirmed parting ways with his longtime manager, Nasser. The pair had been doing business together for several years until Lutalo came out in an interview revealing that they were no longer working together.
Although David Lutalo did not reveal the exact reason for their separation, he hinted at some level of dishonesty without giving full details about what went down.
Speaking before the press, the ‘Ujuwe’ hitmaker advised events promoters and anyone who would love to work with him to contact him directly using the same numbers and not go through Manager Nasser or unauthorized phone numbers.
Manager Nasser is no longer my manager and people who need to book me should use the same number and not anyone else otherwise they will be cheated. Take it from me that we are no longer working together and in case anything changes between us, I will communicate.
Anyone who gives him money about matters concerning me as an artist should know that it will not get to me and whatever he does, is not reported to me. There is no relationship,” he said.
Currently, David Lutalo doesn’t have a manager and he confesses that he is not under any pressure to get a new one due to the strict terms and conditions he has for anyone desiring to manage him.
He noted that being his manager is a full-time job and a person has to go through a vetting process before he can be eligible.
I will be making an official communication in case I get one. For someone to become my manager, they should be ready for my strict terms and conditions. I do not just pick anyone, that is why I’m not in a hurry to get one, David Lutalo stated.
David Lutalo is among the many artists with a history of changing management and he tags it to his commitment to pleasing his fans and if anything, or anyone tries to sabotage that, he has no choice but to move on.

Any time our relationship shows signs of dishonesty, I quickly back out. It is normal to part ways with people as you try out elsewhere. He was not the first and was definitely not going to be my last manager. Every artist has the liberty to switch managers according to their performance, David Lutalo said.
