The International Crimes Division of the High Court presided over by Judge Bashaija Andrew granted renowned socialite and businessman Don Nasser, real name Nduhukire Nasser a cash bail of Shs. 3M.
Nasser’s four sureties were each required to sign a non-cash bail of UGX. 50M as part of his bail conditions.
Furthermore, the socialite was required to hand in his passport to the registrar and seek permission for any international travel. He will also be required to report to the registrar every month for six months.
Judge Bashaija ruled that the court couldn’t consider pending charges slapped against Don Nasser as pre-existing offenses, as recorded in the general inquiry file at Kira Road Police Station are unknown.
Don Nasser faces charges of aggravated trafficking in children and defilement alongside Ateete Promise, his co-accused.

The state alleges that they trafficked a 16-year-old minor for sexual exploitation between 23rd May 2024 and 25th November 2024.
