In a surprising turn of events, singer and songwriter Dr Propa real name John Hall Arinaibye has announced that he is now a born-again Christian and has rebranded his entire image to best fit his newfound path.
In an interview, the veteran singer appeared all cleaned up, with his previously long dreads cut off as a sign of clear transformation.
If even if you do not want to worship God, strong men will carry your coffin to church to be prayed for by force. Go to church while you still can and receive salvation, sing and serve him, or else they will drag you there when you die. That is what my family and I are doing while we still can. he said.
Dr Propa revealed that he is a new creature in Christ and boldly decided to start serving God through his music and how he conducts himself on his journey to live a godly life. He further revealed that he is ready for the new chapter of his life and has a plan to release gospel songs that will traverse across East Africa.
In April this year, Dr Propa raised concerns among music fans and the general public after a series of videos surfaced on social media, showing him in a distressed and worrying state.
The video showed the singer sleeping in an unfinished building and in poor living conditions. He revealed he was battling depression and his health, too, seemed to be deteriorating, forcing the entertainment industry to stand in solidarity with him.
