Singer and politician Eddy Yawe has given a brief background of their family wealth, giving credit to his late father who inspired his children to work hard.
The singer, who is also a big brother to Bobi Wine, Micki Wine, Daxx Vybez, and Irene Kayemba, revealed that their dad Willington Jackson Sentamu was a former rebel who expected to gain so much after the LRA war.
When he did not, his children decided to struggle to earn what their late dad was not able to attain.
“You (the public) are just blowing it out of proportion but there are very many rich people in the country. Our dad was a rebel, we also followed him because we expected a lot of things from the struggle. We lost so many things; our farms, ranches and our late mum kept promising us that we would reap but we didn’t. So from then, we tried our best to fight and get to where we are on our own. Now the world sees us as people who have achieved something. We are still fighting to go onto the next level,” Eddy Yawe said.
Before he became a political figure, Bobi Wine and his brothers were known to be some of the most successful celebrities in the industry, widely known for their musical talent.
They may not be living a flashy lifestyle of expensive cars and all but they have assets that they are not afraid to show off to the public.
While many have attached their wealth to the fact that they are in politics, Eddy Yawe reveals that it is a family legacy that stems from way back and is spread throughout their big family.

“We are not the only ones, even our relatives down in Gomba have achieved this because most of the flats in the village belong to them. Our legacy comes from way back, we are hardworking and I hope we act as examples to those people hustling that they can make something out of themselves from a bad situation,” Eddy Yawe said.
